Kubernetes is growing, creating new challenges

Kubernetes is fast becoming the preferred choice for both new and existing applications in production. A new research from Dimensional Research covering organizations using Kubernetes in production, reveals that almost all respondents plan to scale and diversify their Kubernetes infrastructures in some way in the coming year.

However, growth means increased complexity and new challenges such as skill shortage and a lack of mature management capabilities. With increased usage of multiple clusters and more diverse Kubernetes distributions, diversification from core data center to edge deployments, introduction of service meshes, the organizations are faced with issues around monitoring and security, multi-cluster management and governance.
